It all started in Tokyo with a Canon Kiss X3 and a simple goal: document my travels. I didn't want my investment to go to waste, so I committed to learning how to use it properly and get the results I envisioned. From Japan's bustling streets to Australia's diverse landscapes, Los Angeles and then New York, I was capturing the world around me. But it was in Australia where everything shifted—the people I met during my journey became my subjects, and I found myself drawn to capturing human stories rather than just places.

Each destination deepened my understanding of photography and human connection. In Los Angeles, working with dancers opened my eyes to the power of movement and expression. These sessions weren't just about technique; they were about capturing the essence of artistic passion. The images we created together gave me visibility that would prove crucial when I returned to Paris.

Back in Paris, my vision had evolved from travel documenter to someone who wanted to reveal the authentic beauty in people. To support this new direction, I invested in a Canon 5D Mark II with a 70-200mm f/2.8. My first paid work came through photographing dancers and then followed events, and studio sessions. The connections I'd made in Los Angeles opened doors, having them share my work gave me visibility and I started to get contacted by others to work with me.

There was one session that changed everything for me. After capturing a series of portraits, the subject told me something that still moves me today: "You captured an expression of me that only my wife and daughter have ever seen." In that moment, I understood my true purpose—not just taking photos, but revealing the intimate, authentic self that people rarely show to the world.

Now specializing in portraits and events, I've learned that the greatest satisfaction comes from the feedback of those I photograph—seeing their joy when they recognize themselves in a new light. Every session is still a journey, just a different kind. I'm no longer wandering the world with my camera, but I'm still discovering something new in every person I meet.
